Born and raised in Holmesville, New South Wales, Jennifer Hawkins now
lives in Sydney. A former cheerleader, going into modeling was a natural
step to take. This led to being cast as Miss Australia and, ultimately,
being included in the Miss Universe 2004 competition which she won.
Jennifer realised during this time that she did want a professional
career in modeling and as a TV presenter. The latter was achieved in
2004 when she signed a contract with Seven Network and her TV career was
born. The Great Outdoors was her showcase as she reigned as Miss
Universe, taking viewers on tours of different landmarks. She has
continued to model and perform in music videos. Regularly welcomed back
to the Miss Universe pageant as a presenter, she is busy in both the
modeling and presenting fields.
Jennifer has several endorsements signed and the products she
represents fit her well. Beginning in 2005, she signed with the skincare
company Lux, and became the face of Australia. The campaign is now
moving into Germany and expected to do quite well. Not to be outdone,
the lingerie company, Wonderful Adorable Loveable Australia, signed
Jennifer on as their Aussie face in 2006. That same year she became the
Ambassador for Planet Vulcan, a residential development. Her face is in
their ads in several glossy business magazines. The makeup company,
CoverGirl, discovered Australia and signed Jennifer as their first
CoverGirl in 2006. To top it off, she is the first Australian to go
international as the CoverGirl face! Her other endorsements include Anus
laptops, Myer department stores and, in 2007, she was offered $50,000 to
pose nude in a men’s magazine. That offer she has not fulfilled yet, but
one can only hope that, someday, she will take the offer!
